Barbara Gene Cecil, widow of Lucian Powell Cecil, of Jeffersonville, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. She was a 74 year old native of Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Ralph Dewey and Eileen Wheeler Schindler, a homemaker and member of Antioch Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Virgil) Fraley of Mt. Sterling, 4 sons, Lucian Jr. (Rebecca) Cecil of Harrodsburg, Gary (Elizabeth) Cecil of Florida, Courtney (Amy) Cecil of Jeffersonville and Timmy (Judy) Cecil of Jeffersonville, 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 sons, Bobby Ray, Danny Joe and Jeff Cecil.
Her funeral will be 11:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Rick Stafford presiding, with burial in Taulbee Patrick Davis Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Sunday.
