Billy Howard Haddix, widower of Alma "Cricket" Duff Haddix, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was an 83 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Winford and Zelma McKee Haddix, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired employee from Bundy Tubing and a member of Antioch Christian Church.
He is survived by 2 sons, Howard (Denise) Haddix of Mt. Vernon and Dudley (Patti) Dailey of Mt. Sterling, 4 grandchildren, Billy (Jamie) Haddix and Eli (Jade) Haddix, of Mt. Sterling and Joe (Bethany) Dailey and Patrick (Stephanie) Dailey, of Mt. Sterling, 1 great-grandchild, Evie Haddix, a brother, Johnny (JoAnn) Haddix and a brother-in-law, Walter "Boots" Moore. He was preceded in death by 2 great--grandchildren, Abigail Leann Haddix and Easton James Haddix, and a sister, Wilma Moore.
His funeral will be 11:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Sunday.
