Charles Eli Moore, 78, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 12, 2017 after a long illness. He was married for over 56 years to the love of his life, LaJeania Holland Moore. Moore was a beloved Church of Christ minister for over fifty years. He was the son of the late Everette and Edna Ginter Moore.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Steve Moore, wife Karen, of Nashville, Tennessee, David Moore of Louisville, Kentucky and John Moore of Los Angeles, California; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and Grant Moore of Nashville, and a sister, Patty Welch, husband Jimmy of Mt. Sterling. Uncles J.T. Ginter John Moore of Mt. Sterling. Nieces Theresa Blevins of Paris, Kentucky, Rhonda Otis of Walton, Kentucky. Krystal Clark of Lexington, Kentucky. Nephews Kris Welch of Union, Kentucky, William Wilson and Mark Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky.
His funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Rolling Hills Church of Christ with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8:00 PM Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rolling Hills Bible Camp. Arrangements are by Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
