Charlie Puckett, widower of Hazel Francis Willoughby Puckett, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was an 88 year old native of Kentucky, son of the late Lum and Rosie Clem Puckett, a Korean War veteran, retired heavy equipment operator for Local 181 Operating Engineers and a member of Jeffersonville Assembly of God. He loved to fish and family cookouts and church.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Scott of Mt. Sterling, 2 sons, Charles David (Debbie) Puckett of Mt. Sterling and Gary Wayne Puckett of Jeffersonville, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a brother, Taulbee Puckett of California, and several nieces and nephews and special friend, Lily Bowman. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Arnold Puckett and several brothers and sisters.
His funeral will be 11:00 Friday at Jeffersonville Assembly of God, Pastor Robbie Conn presiding, with burial in Willoughby Martin Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9:00 Thursday at the church. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
