Elma Amburgey Sons, widow of Corbit Sons, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was a 79 year old native of Menifee County, daughter of the late Newt and Winnie Neal Amburgey, a homemaker and member of the Pentecostal Church. She is survived by 4 daughters, Peggy Sons, Mary Rogers, Lisa Gannon and Carolyn Martin, 3 sons, Donnie, David and James Sons, several grand and great-grandchildren, a brother, Billy Amburgey, and 2 sisters, Helen Conway and Gerry Morrison. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Barbara Saunders and Joyce Sons and a son, Gary Sons. Her funeral will be 2:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Steve McGuire presiding, with burial in Fagan Cemetery. Visitation is 12-2:00 Saturday.
