Elmo Lewis, husband of Pearl Martin Lewis, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was a 77 year old native of Laurel County, son of the late Shirley and Hazel Ray Lewis, a Vietnam veteran, retired truck driver and member of the Full Gospel Word of God Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 daughters, Angie (Donald) Moore, and Brenda (Bill) Price, both of Mt. Sterling, Janet (John) Quick of Houston, Texas, and Shirley Lewis of Colorado, a son, Jerry (Rebecca) Lewis of Berea, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Mamie Stephens and Joyce Philpot, both of Louisvllle. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Lewis and 3 grandchildren.
His funeral will be 1:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Martin-Willoughby Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Wednesday.
