Helen Carpenter Kline, widow of Henry L. Kline, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. She was an 89 year old native of Bath County, daughter of the late Jess Monroe and Annie Wilson Carpenter, a retired employee from Mary Chiles Hospital and member of the Grassy Lick United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Anne (Jimmy) Satterwhite, 2 sons, Jesse (Sharon) Kline and Rickey (Brenda) Kline, a sister, Gertrude Wilson, all of Mt. Sterling, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Kline, a granddaughter, Melissa Smiley, 6 brothers, Clyde, Lee, Arnold, Jess, Rollie and Irvine Carpenter, and 3 sisters, Pearl Vice, Ida Baker and Faye Messenbrink.
Her funeral will be 11:00 Friday at Grassy Lick United Methodist Church with burial in Grassy Lick Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9:00 Thursday at the church. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
