Ida Katherine Smallwood Tincher, widow of the late Arthur R. Tincher Sr., of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. She was an 87 year old, born in Hardin County, daughter of the late John Thomas and Lena Grace Miller Smallwood, a homemaker and caregiver and member of Ark of Mercy.
She is survived by 5 daughters, Linda Willyard of Elizabethtown, Brenda Banks of Montgomery County, Diane Markwell of Powell County, Jean Baker and Wanda Sue Owens, both of Montgomery County, a son, Art Tincher of Jessamine County, 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Burnice (Lena) Williams. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jimmy and Charlie Tincher, 2 sisters, Roberta McGuffin and Mary Miller, and 2 brothers, Rufus and Gerald Drake.
Her funeral will be 1:00 Tuesday at Ark of Mercy, Pastors Wayne Ross and Christopher Clem presiding, with burial in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 5-8:00 Monday.
