John Sidney Spradling, husband of Linda Day Spradling, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016. He was a 70 year old native of Morgan County, son of the late Hazel Bolin Spradling Wilson and Alfred T. Spradling, John was a retired tool and die maker and member of Bethesda Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, John (Megan) Darko of Lexington and Matthew Spradling of Michigan, a brother, Mickey (Keni) Spradling of Wellington, a sister, Roberta Petzolt of Sarasota, Florida, a sister-in-law, Maxine Spradling, a stepdaughter, Paula (Mike) Britsch of Georgetown, 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marie Vest and Bernie Dell Geen, and 3 brothers, Teddy, Larry and Barry Spradling.
His funeral will be 11:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Combs Day Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday.
