Kevin Grooms, husband of Janie Martin Grooms, of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He was a 56 year old native of Montgomery County, son of John Grooms of Montgomery County and the late Aldean Moore Grooms, a retired deputy jailer from the Montgomery County Regional Jail, and member of the Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Anthony Sorrell, and 2 daughters, Heather Gillespie and Queena Anderson, all of Bath County, 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Megan, Katlyn, Bethany, Kristin, Amber, Madison and Emily,and a sister, Karen Grooms of Montgomery County.
His funeral will be 10:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9:00 Friday.
