Margie Irene Alsept Gross, wife of Shelton Gross, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was a 91 year old native of Magoffin County, daughter of the late Walter and Mintie Davis Alsept, a former factory worker and member of the Christian faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Janet Hall of Ohio, Evelyn (Doug) Neely of Jeffersonville, and Linda (John) Spradling of Mt. Sterling, 2 sons, Gary Day of Florida and William (Lou) Day of Jeffersonville, a stepdaughter, Susie (Beaver) Davisof Jeffersonville, a stepson, Greg Gross of Ashland, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kendrid, a stepson, Brian Gross,a grandson, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Her funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Lovely Amburgey Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9:00 Thursday.
