Melissa "Missy" Kay (Williams) Alford

Melissa "Missy" Kay Alford, wife of Larry Dean Alford, of Rome, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018.  She was a 35 year old native of West Liberty, Kentucky, daughter of Terry Dean Williams and the late Rita Lynn McMillen Brown, a graduate of Menifee County High School, and Morehead State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications.  She was employed in Sales and Marketing with Service Master by Twins in Rome.  She was an Ambassador with the Rome-Floyd Chamber of Commerce and was active in Chamber affairs.  She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and was a Girl Scout Leader with Troop #17855.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her stepmother, Vicki Williams, a sister, Terri (Will) Keath and their daughters, Bella, Kendell and Korbyn, her four-legged critter, Cooper, and other nieces and nephews.

Her visitation will be from 12-2:00 Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Bowman Cemetery in Pomroyton.
