Ricky Garrett, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017. He was a 62 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Christine Jouett Warner and Lawrence Garrett, a retired employee from Nestle and member of Morning Star Baptist Church.
He is survived by 3 sisters, Vickie (Ralph) Reed and Wanna Jean Warner, both of Mt. Sterling, and Algetha (Amado) Samuel of Louisville, a son, Andre (Carrie) Jones of Morehead, and 4 grandchildren, Kyrstin Jones of Ohio, Kyrah, Tyrell and Trevin Jones, all of Morehead, a sister-in-law, Cindy Garrett of Louisville, 5 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great-nieces, an aunt, Sarah Jouett of Ohio, and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Garrett.
His funeral will be 2:00 Saturday at High Street Christian Church with burial in Olive Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 12-2:00 Saturday. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
