Thomas Dewey "Tom" Barrett, widower of Betty Haney Barrett, of Mt. Sterling, passed way Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was a 76 year old native of Lee County, son of the late Mose and Callie Robinson Barrett, and retired truck driver. He is survived by a daughter, Jeleana (Samuel) Warner of Irvine, a son, Tony Barrett of Mt. Sterling, 3 grandchildren, Callie and Andrea Ginter and Kaelan Barrett, a great-granddaughter, Gracelyn Christopher, 3 brothers, Clark (Donna) Barrett, Mose (Ann) Barrett and Willis (Juanita) Barrett, and a sister, Alma Jean Fetick. His funeral will be 1:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Little Slate Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Wednesday.
