Tony Joe Watkins, husband of Alice Ingram Watkins, of Jeffersonville, died Thursday. He was a 55 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Orville Watkins and Fannie Mae Willoughby Dawson, a veteran of the Army National Guard, construction worker and member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Nikki Watkins (Gary Lane) and Lacey (Joshua) Townsend, 5 grandchildren, Kamron Saville, Katie Lane, Joseph and Isaiah Hagerman and Wylder Townsend, 3 sisters, Gail Miller, Jackie McCarty and Janie Cole, and a brother, Wayne Watkins.
His funeral will be 1:00 Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in West Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Monday. Contributions are suggested to the funeral home.
