Viola Watkins Craft, widow of Jimmy Craft, of Jeffersonville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. She was a 95 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Bennie and Gertrude Ellen Powell Watkins, a former private duty nurse, and member of the Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Nora Hill and Delores Stephens, both of Jeffersonville, and Reva Townsend of Stanton, 2 sons, Ronnie (Sharon) Hill and Casey (Judy) Hill, both of Jeffersonville, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Ray Watkins of Mt. Sterling and a sister, Rosie Willoughby of Jeffersonville. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Rosemary and Virginia Hill, a sister, Lucille Johnson, and 7 brothers, Orville, Earl, Elmer, Jessie, Bill, Roy and Benny Watkins Jr.
Her funeral will be 10:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Earl Hisle presiding, and burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Friday.
