Virgil Everett Allen, husband of Mae Reddix Allen, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017. He was a 78 year old native of Clark County, son of the late Barbra and Bertha Stone Allen, a retired truck driver and member of Spring Street Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Tammy (John) Moore and Toshia (Jay) Ramirez, a son, Todd Allen, 4 grandchildren, Mary (Wendall) Smith, Amanda Conlee, Kayden and Joseph Ramirez, 5 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dustin, Jalynn and Brylee Smith and Levi Conlee, a brother, Gene (Betty) Allen, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Allen, and a grandson, Jaiden Ramirez.
His funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Spring Street Baptist Church with burial in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 5-8:00 Tuesday.
