Virgil Everett Young

Virgil Everett Young, husband of Karen Long Young, of Lexington, formerly of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015. He was a 76 year old, born in Pike County, son of the late John T. and Gertrude Bevin Young, a retired fireman and EMT, and member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Marta (Dave) Hilt of Florida, Kimberly (Michael) Denkins of Owingsville and Jennifer Bryant of Colorado, 3 sons, Joseph (Roxanne) Grapner of Jeffersonville, Larry Grapner of Ohio and Scott (Lajeanna) Young of Mt. Sterling, his adopted family, Chad (Barbara) Carman of Lexington, 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. His funeral will be 1:00 Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastors Dan Murphy and Tony Anderson presiding, with burial in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 5-9:00 Monday.
