Danny Casteel Obituary

Danny Robert "Cooter" Casteel, widower of Carla Sue Wheeler Casteel, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. He was a 73 year old native of Dickinsen County, Virginia, son of the late Houston and Mae Robinson Casteel, a retired diesel mechanic from Cole Ford Mercury in 2010, and a member of Antioch Christian Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Beckie (Joseph) Williams, a son, Robert Casteel, 2 grandchildren, Branden Hail and Trey Williams, and 3 sisters, Frieda Ford, Carol O'Brien, and Rosemary Qureshi.

His funeral will be 2:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 p.m. Sunday and 12-2:00 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hope Hill Children's Home.
