Dora Frances Shrout Payne, widow of Charles Boyd Payne, of Stepstone Road, passed away Wednesday. She was an 86 year old native of Bourbon County, daughter of the late William and Leda Hall Shrout, a homemaker and retired A.O. Smith employee, and member of Sugar Grove Christian Church.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Phyllis (Richard) Roberts of Richmond, Cheryl (Clyde) Hunt, Linda (Jerry) Henchon, and Reva Cody, all of Mt. Sterling, 2 sons, Darrell Payne of Tennessee and Billy (Betty) Brien of Mt. Sterling, a brother, Gilbert Shrout of Mt. Sterling, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Her funeral will be 1:00 Monday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Francis Nash presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Sunday. Contributions are suggested to Sugar Grove Mission Fund. Pallbearers are Terrance Henchon, Tyler Henchon, Jeremy Henchon, Jacob Henchon, Bryan Cody, David Brien and Colby Porter. Honorary pallbearers are Zachery Maiden and Luke Maiden and Alex Poore and Jacob Henchon.
