Dorothy (Aldridge) Herald

Dorothy Aldridge Herald, widow of Clyde B. Herald, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Sayre Christian Village.  She was a 99 year old, born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the union of the late Robert and Mary Hammond Aldridge, a homemaker, and member of Northview Baptist Church in Lexington. She is survived by a son, Phillip B. (Sue) Herald of Waco, a granddaughter, Tracy Worden, 4 grandsons, Randy Tifft, Brian Herald, Deron and Derek Herald, 2 stepchildren, Tony Cain and Marva Cain Campbell, a brother, Everett Aldridge, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Tifft, and a sister, Thelma Smith.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Saturday at Flatwoods Christian Church, Waco, with Tyler Greene and Tim Jones presiding, with burial in Flatwoods Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11-1:00 Saturday at the church.  Arrangements are entrusted to Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Flatwoods Christian Church, Hospice of the Bluegrass or Sayre Christian Village.
