Dorsie Ratliff

Dorsie Ratliff, husband of the late Billie Jean (Marshall) Ratliff, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018.  He was an 81 year old native of Bath County, son of the late Bud and Nancy (Combs) Ratliff, and a retired blacksmith of over 30 years.

He is survived by 1 son, Clifford (Mandy) Ratliff of Mount Sterling, 2 grandchildren, Adriane Ratliff of Georgetown, and Christina Ratliff of Georgetown, 1 sister, Christine Pester of Jeffersonville, 1 sister-in-law, Reva Ratliff of Jeffersonville, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his favorite horse, Nugget.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, James Haney and Roscoe Ratliff, 4 sisters, Ina Pearl Rager, Virginia Cooper, Pauline Corey, and Joann Ritchie, 6 brothers-in-law, William Corey, Mitchell Cooper, Ken Pester, Jay Ritchie, Jack Rager, and Robert Glover, 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Haney, and Mary Katherine Glover.

His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Hammock Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
