Edna Rose McClain McGuire, widow of Joe W. McGuire, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018. She was an 81 year old native of Bath County, daughter of the late Isaac and Myrtle Fielders McClain, a retired Jockey International employee and member of Sugar Grove Christian Church.
She is survived by 3 sons, Mike (Lisa) McGuire, Todd (Nicole) McGuire and Bo (Denise) McGuire, 8 grandchildren, Stacey (Alton III) Stull, Amie (Robert) Montgomery, Erika Shrout, Sherry (Ben) Collins, Kevin (Jonna) McGuire, Joseph McGuire, Quinten McGuire and Brady McGuire, 16 great-grandchildren, Kristion Montgomery, Becca Montgomery, Cayden Gabbard, Alton Stull IV, Riley Gabbard, Jack McGuire, James Gabbard, Parker Montgomery, Baylee Montgomery, Dawson Stull, Isaac Stull, Owen Stull, Elise McGuire, Caroline Collins, Clair Collins and Caty Collins, and 2 brothers, Henry (Margaret) McClain and Farmer McClain. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jr. McClain.
Her funeral will be 11:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Hammack Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday. Contributions are suggested to Workers for Mexico, c/o Sugar Grove Church.
