Joe Arnold Dicken

Joe Arnold Dicken, husband of Brenda Back Dicken, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018.  He was a 70 year old native of Montgomery County, son of Alberta Dicken and the late Jack Dicken, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, retired owner and operator of Spencer & Dicken Barber Shop and deacon of Sharpsburg Christian Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by 4 sons, Waylon (Michelle) Dicken, Les (Elisa) Reffitt, Daniel (Kristi) Elswick and Richard Elswick, a daughter, Melanie Combs (Jessica)  Sanchez, 6 grandchildren, Lucas and Trace Dicken, Analiese Elswick, Will and Summer Ellison and Vivian Muller, and 4 brothers, Jimmy Dicken, Jack (Debbie) Dicken, Jay Dicken and Johnnie (Janet) Dicken.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Welander.

His funeral will be 11:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation is 5-9:00 Thursday. Pallbearers are Jimmy, Jack, Jay and John Dicken, Glenn Spencer, and Tyler Ginn.  Contributions are suggested to Foundation Hope Lodge, 12810 USF  Magnolia Dr., Tampa, Florida  33612
