Mae Allen Obituary

Mae Reddix Allen, widow of Virgil Everett Allen, was lovingly welcomed home by our Lord and Savior on April 23, 2019. She was an 85 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Mamie Fritts Reddix, life-long employee of Ruth Hunt Candy, and a member of Spring Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Tammy (JW) Moore and Toshia (Jay) Ramirez, and 1 son, Stephen Todd Allen, 4 grandchildren, Mary (Wendall) Smith, Amanda Conlee, Kaydin and Joseph Ramirez, 5 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dustin, Jalynn, and Brylee Smith, and Levi Conlee, 1 brother,  Morton (Peggy) Reddix, her "girls", Stacy Orme-White and Melissa Johnson, and her Ruth Hunt Candy family.  She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Thelma Anderson, 4 brothers, William Joseph "Joe" Reddix, English Garrett "Red" Reddix, Randall Clay "Dick" Reddix, Andrew Jackson Reddix Jr., and 1 grandson, Jaiden Allen Ramirez.

Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Spring Street Baptist Church Mark Chandler presiding, with burial in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 Thursday at the church. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
