Martha Sears Obituary

Martha Jane Upton Sears, widow of Joseph Harry Sears, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. She was a 72 year old native of Smithville, Mississippi, daughter of the late Truman and Ressie May Upton, and a sales manager for Avon Products. She loved to travel, add to her purse collection, do word searches and attend Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 children, Rhonda (James) Ruth of Leicester, NC, a son, Michael (Kristi) Loy of Portland, OR, a granddaughter, Jessica (Scott) DeFord, a great-grandson, Jameson DeFord, a sister, Dorothy Chitwood and a brother, Charles Upton, and several nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be 2:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Friends may call from 12-2:00 Saturday.
