Marvin F. "Pinky" Markland, husband of Deloris Taulbee Markland, of Jeffersonville, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was a 61 year old native of Montgomery County, son of the late Charles and Frances Erlanson Markland, a painter and member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal Markland of Frankfort, 2 stepsons, Rocky Adkins of West Liberty and David Adkins of Campton, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Gail Hedges and Wanda Jones, both of Bourbon County, Janice Martin of Clark County and Betty Martin of Mt. Sterling, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Janette Markland, 2 sisters, Mary Faye Ritchie and Peggy Ann Burris, and 2 brothers, Charles Larry and Edwin Victor Markland.
His funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday.
