Opal (Wilson) Goldy

Opal Wilson Goldy, widow of Russell Tilford Goldy, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019.  She was an 82 year old native of Mt. Sterling, daughter of the late Henry Bright and Laura Guy Wilson, a former pharmacy clerk and member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by 4 sons, Dwayne (Dee) Goldy of Mt. Sterling, Kevin (Mary) Goldy of Catlettsburg, Gerald (Robyn) Goldy of Draper, Utah, and Don (Robyn) Goldy of Draper, Utah, a sister, Minnie Walker of Mt. Sterling, 2 sisters-in-law, Peggy (George) Foley of Florida and Sue (Fred) Schoolcraft of Ohio, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be 10:00 Saturday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor John Kohr presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery.  Visitation is 5-8:00 Friday.  Pallbearers are Danny, Mike, and Roger Walker, Billy, Tom and Larry Franklin.  Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Orme, Ronnie Pergrem, and Homer Wilson.
