Richard Back Obituary

Richard Back, husband of Edith Rowe Back, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was an 84 year old native of Magoffin County, son of the late Oscar and Myrtle Patrick Back, a heavy equipment operator and member of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Terry (Donna) Back, a daughter, Deborah (Rickie) Witt, a brother, Ranzel Back, 3 sisters, Gathel Miller, Veona Layman and Pansy Hatton, and 2 grandchildren, Taylin and Skylar Myers. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rayo Back, 2 sisters, Noka Free and Nova Childers, and a granddaughter, Tracey Lynn Myers.

His funeral will be 1:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Dan Murphy and Jerry Carmichael presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday.
