Roger Lee Means

Roger Lee Means, of Mt. Sterling, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Veterans Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was born in Clark County, Kentucky to Orbin and Lola Hale Means, an Army veteran, and former tree trimmer and roofer.

Roger was survived by his siblings, Bev Means of Richmond, Hubert Means of Richmond, Wendell (Rickie) Means of Irvine, Nannie (Donnie) McElory  of Liberty, Mary (Jim) Hurt  of Richmond, Bernice (Bill) Henderson of Nicholasville, Vickie (Bill) Singleton of Liberty, Bruce Means of Richmond, his wife, Judy Lee Means of Jeffersonville, 2 daughters, Melissa Anderson of Jeffersonville and Robin Tharp of Richmond, 3 grandchildren, Megan Shepherd, Tiffany Tharp and James Anderson, and several nieces and nephews, and a uncle Frank Means of Winchester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Steve Allen Means and Johnnie Ray Means.

Pallbearers are Wendell Means, Hubert Means, Jim Hurt, Steve Crider, Gerald Martin, Steve Alan Horn. Honorary pallbearer James Anderson.

His funeral will be 3:00 Sunday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Waltes Lee presiding, with burial in Miller Cemetery.  Visitation is 2-3:00 Sunday.
