Shirley French Obituary

Shirley Jean Webb French, widow of James C. French, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 after a long fought battle with cancer. She was born June 1, 1947 in Fayette County, daughter of the late Bascomb and Ailene Cooper Webb, a housewife and member of the City of Refuge Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her church family.

She is survived by a daughter, Tammatha French (Tony) Tabor of Jeffersonville, 2 sons, Jonathan French and James D. French, both of Owingsville, and 7 grandchildren, Shaina Tabor, Sirena French, Amanda French, Nolan Tabor, Jamie French, Jacob French and Bayley French, and 5 great-grandchildren, Skyler Kilgore, Marley Stanfield, Aubrey Tabor, Amelia Reid and Emberley Kilgore. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Skippy Dale Webb, Raymond Cooper and Claude Wayne Webb.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Thursday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Little Slate Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Wednesday.
