Thomas Leo Johnson

Thomas Leo Johnson, husband of Velma Johnson, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. He was a 71 year old native of Indiana, son of the late Charles and Marie Young Johnson, a retired truck mechanic and member of Corner Stone Baptist Church. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Michael (Wendy) Johnson and Ronnie (Kristine) Johnson, both of Winchester, and Michael (Christy) Creech of Bath County, 2 daughters, Melissa Hampton of Winchester and Stephanie (Tim) Colliins, 12 grandchildren, Christian Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Taylor Collins, Lauren Collins, Jessica Hampton, Abagail Hampton, Mckenzie Creech, Emma Creech, Cailyn Oldfield, Cameryn and Conner Creech, 1 great-grandchild, Grayson Johnson, 2 brothers, Bill and Bobby Johnson, and 5 sisters, Naomi Tew, Margaret Fullmer, Anna Coleman, Helen Spencer, and Brenda Yazell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charles and John Johnson, and 3 sisters, Mary Purvis, Sandra Harrell and Donna Johnson. 

His funeral will be 1:00 Tuesday at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with burial at Winchester Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 Monday.
