Wanda C. (Turner) Barnes

Wanda C. Barnes, age 66, was born July 28, 1951 and passed away June 16, 2018 at Albert Chandler Hospital, Lexington, KY.  She was a life long resident of Montgomery County, KY, daughter of the late Riley K. Turner and Dorcilene Crowe Turner.  Wanda was a devoted wife to the late John "Johnny" Barnes, the mother of John Lester Barnes II, Jeffersonville, KY, loving grandmother to Luke Barnes of Indiana, Amber Barnes of Berea and Bethany Barnes of Irvine.  She is survived by 2 great-grandchildren, many sisters and brothers, Helen Brewer, Ft. Stewart, GA, Janice Graultt, Covington, KY, Nancy Miller, Pittsburgh, PA, Ann Weaver, Crittenden, KY, Joyce Shepherd, Carlisle, KY, Christine Meyer, Walton, KY, and two brothers, Bill Turner and Homer Turner, both of Mt. Sterling.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be 2:00 Wednesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery 1:30 Thursday.  Visitation is 12-2:00 Wednesday.
