ANN (MARTIN) BERGER

Ann Martin Berger, age 86, of Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at St. Joseph Main Hospital, Lexington, KY.  Ann was born in Bourbon County, KY on October 31, 1939, to the late Kirk and Dorothy Swartz  Martin.  If you dined at Jerry’s Restaurant in Mt. Sterling during Ann’s 27 years there, she likely cooked your meal. Her family was her greatest joy, and she dedicated her life to their care.  Ann was of the Pentecostal faith.

Ann is survived by 2 daughters: Lori Lester of Mt. Sterling and Janie (Jeff) Spence of Salt Lick; 1 son-Charlie (Brenda) Berger of Mt. Sterling; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Carrie Hayes of Mt. Sterling and Brenda Conkright of Mt. Sterling; 2 brothers John “Bud” (Marsha) Martin and Kirk “JR” (Lenora) Martin.

Other than her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Berger; her son Mark Berger and a great grandson Colten McCarty.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30th at Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Officiated by  Kaleb Blankenship.  

Burial to follow at Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
Pallbearers: Matt Puckett, David Lester, Nick Berger, Josh Martin, Charlie Berger, Jeff Spence, Jonathan Tomaw.
