ANNA JOYCE (WILLIAMS) CARTY

Anna Joyce Williams Carty, age 83, of Means, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22. 2025, at the U.K. St. Claire Hospital in Morehead, KY.  Anna was born January 6, 1942, in Frenchburg, KY to the union of the late Chester Williams and Josephine Ballard Williams.  Anna dedicated her life to caring for the needs of her family, her farm and her animals.  She was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Anna was of the Pentecostal faith.

Anna is survived by her son Chester (Billie) Carty of Means and her daughter Kasey Smith (Jason) of Mt. Sterling;  6 grandchildren Trevor Augustus Conner, Kaitlyn Smith, Jordyn Smith, Devyn Collins, Dylan Donathan and Haley Donathan;  3 great grandchildren Bryson Wayne Hall, Michael Garred Collins and Brayleigh Grace Hall.

Besides her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband Augustus Carty.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. 

Officiating will be Tommy Evans.

Burial will follow at the Williams Cemetery.

Family will serve as Pallbearers.
