BETTY SUE (CASKEY) SHEPHERD

Betty Sue Caskey Shepherd, age 73, of Means, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at St. Joseph Main Hospital in Lexington KY.     Betty was born in Mt. Sterling, KY, August 6, 1952, to the late Curt Caskey and Pauline Williams White.  Betty was blessed with a large family, and she dedicated her life to loving and caring for them.  She was a member of the Restoration Community Church.

Betty is survived by her loving husband J.T. Shepherd of Means; 2 daughters: Kim (Jeremy) Patrick of Frenchburg and Paula (Willie Fugate) Hatfield of Jeffersonville; 1 son: Brian (Sherri Little) Shepherd of Mt. Sterling.
7 grandchildren: Kendra Brooks, Jordan Patrick, Madison Shepherd, Ryan Shepherd, Kyra Hatfield, Ethan Fugate, Mason Fugate; and 6 great grandchildren.  2 sisters: Donna (Dale) Stiltner of Frenchburg, Pamela (John) Hesselbrock of Mt. Sterling; 3 brothers: Doug (Carol Ann) Caskey of Morehead, Darryl (Diana) Caskey of Morehead, Greg Caskey of Frenchburg; her stepfather Alonzo White of Frenchburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son in law Eddie Hatfield and great grandson Mason Layne Brooks.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Restoration Community Church, 2175 Stepstone Road.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.    Officiating will be Robbie Workman.

Burial will follow at Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Pallbearers: Willie Fugate, Mason Fugate, Ethan Fugate, Doug Caskey Darryl Caskey, Jeremy Patrick.
