Bobby Jean Mann Donathan, age 81, of Jeffersonville, KY, passed away
peacefully at home on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Bobby Jean was born in
Breathitt county to the late Arlie and Ida Roark Mann on April 27, 1945.
Raised by the late Hoy and Bertha Sallee, whom she knew as mother and
father. She was a homemaker that made a house a home. She was a wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved being outside
tending her immaculate gold fish pond and jungle of flowers surrounding
the home and property. Hummingbird watching and porch sitting were
among some of her favorite pass times.
Bobby Jean is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Herbert Lee
Donathan of Jeffersonville; 2 daughters: Debra Jean Elliott of Mt. Sterling
and Tina Gail Conyers of Jeffersonville; 1 son Christopher Lee Donathan of
Jeffersonville; 7 grandchildren: Ceira Nicole King, Korie Lee Dawson
Conyers, Casey Dewayne Browning, Autumn Rain Karsyn Conyers, Kayla
La’Shae Donathan, Ava Elizabeth Donathan, Julian Kate Donathan and 3
great granddaughters: Isabella Lawson, Madalyn Lawson and Claire
Lawson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers: Calloway
Manns, Hearld Manns, and Robert Manns; 2 sisters: Cleta Mae Dunn and
Susie Ann Arnett.
Visitation will be conducted Monday, July 6th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at
Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals in Mt. Sterling. Funeral services will
be on July 7th at 2:00 p.m at the same location. Eulogy to be read by
Roger Dale Donathan. Officiating will be Apostle Jacob White and Pastor
Kyle Gezon.
Burial to follow at Fortune Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, KY.
Pallbearers: Korie Lee Dawson Conyers, Casey Dewayne Browning,
Lincoln Lynch, Kyle Wilson, Dustin Barnett, Duwayne Branham.
