Barbara Ritchie Obituary

Barbara Jo Couch Ritchie, wife of Billy E. Ritchie, of Owingsville, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at age 79. Barbara was born in Covington, KY to Albert L. and Aline P. Toy Couch and most recently lived in Mount Sterling. She was a retiree from Southern States Co-op, serving more than 30 years, and a member of the First Church of God.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Kim Williams (Richie) and Sheryl R. Abercrombie (Paul); one son, William Albert Ritchie; three grandchildren, Tyler Nealis (Kim), Rachel Barnwell (John), and Jessica Abercrombie; four great-grandchildren, Garrett Nealis, Sydney Nealis, David Grayson Barnwell, and Calliope Quinn Barnwell; one sister, Janet Couch Church (James); three step-grandchildren, Malcom Williams, Jeanna Williams and Kristina Wilson; four step-great grandchildren, Lynden Smith, Rylan Smith, Jolenna Prater and Osa Prater; as well as several special friends including Kristy Brown, Etna Copher, Kathy Rose, Tasha Workman and Yvonne Carpenter.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Mt Sterling First Church of God in her memory, at 1051 Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling, Ky 40353.

There will be a private memorial and graveside service placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
