Obituary

Barbara Dwaine Donathan Roark passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was a 70 year old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Mason and Ivins Johnson Donathan, a homemaker and member of the Christian Faith.

She is survived by a son, Daniel Roark (Emily); a daughter, Cristal Charles; 5 grandchildren, Krista Bealert (Aaron), Zachary Barnes (Tess), Ceirra Evans, Alyson Roark and Elijah Roark; 2 great grandchildren, Arya Bealert and Aleeya Bealert; along with 5 sisters, Cora Salyers, Bessie Miller, Brenda Moore, Cheryl Knell and Millie Donahue. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Bernie Donathan, Henry Donathan, Kenny Donathan, Lonnie Gene Donathan, Rucker Jim Donathan, Bobby Donathan and Jeffery Donathan. 

Her funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Ethan Pennington presiding. Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
