Barry Richard Blevins, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was a 75 year old native of Menifee County, son of the late Robert Clayton and Imogene Branham Blevins, and former employee of A.O. Smith. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving from 1964-1966, receiving a Purple Heart. He was an avid hunter and trapper.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marcella Maddix-Blevins, 2 daughters, Stephanie Hope Blevins of Olive Hill, and Meshelle Lawson of Mt. Sterling, a son, David Richard Blevins of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 2 grandsons, Brandon G. Ferguson and Waylon Kole Ferguson of West Liberty, and a bonus son, Michael Joe Butler, 3 additional grandchildren, Tanner George of Lexington, Hunter Blevins and Chloe Blevins, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a great-granddaughter, Alexia Blevins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Glenn Blevins.
His graveside service will by 12:00 Monday at Olive Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
