Betty Sue Collins Conley, widow of Don Conley, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019. She was an 82 year old native of Mt. Sterling, daughter of the late Henry and Beulah Stewart Collins, and member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ. She was a floral designer for 28 years and served 5 terms on the City Counsel from 1994-2004.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa (Gordon) Williams of Mt. Sterling, a son, Vic (Sheila) Nealis of Winchester, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Buddy (Phyllis) Collins. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Nealis, and 2 brothers, Henry Collins Jr. and Earl Collins.
Her funeral will be 11:00 Wednesday at Rolling Hills Church of Christ, Pastor Dan Murphy presiding, with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Tuesday at the church. Pallbearers are Robie Crockett, Joshua Nealis, Evan Nealis, Jamie Skidmore, Gavin Skidmore, and Jacob Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Collins, Timmy Collins, Greg Collins, Michael Collins, Jim Sorrell, Mike Sorrell, Billy Blevins and Jim Stevens.
