Billie Jean Turner, special friend of Mary Hopson, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was a 59 year old native of Mt. Sterling, daughter of the late Price and Lucy Byrd Turner, former employee of Chef America and Nestles, and a member of the Christian faith.
In addition to her special friend, she is survived by 2 sons, Billy (Jenny) Ritchie and Brian Ritchie (Nikki Stidham), 5 grandchildren, Jacob and Dakota Ritchie, Serenity and Keaton Ritchie and Dawson Chaires, 3 sisters, Janet Turner, Mary (Gary) Rothwell and Heather (William) Adkins, 4 brothers, Robert Turner, David (Debbie) Turner, Jerry (Michelle) Turner and Chris Turner and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Parker, a brother, Jimmy "Bud" Turner, her maternal grandmother, Addie Byrd, a brother-in-law, Wayne Parker, a sister-in-law, Lisa Turner and 2 nieces, Faith and Gabrielle Rothwell.
Her funeral will be 2:00 Friday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor John Ryder presiding, with burial in Lovely Amburgey Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Thursday. Pallbearers are Mary Hopson, David Turner, Jeremy Turner, Randy Lyle, Brian Ritchie and Billy Ritchie.
