Brenda Sue Carpenter

Brenda Sue Centers Carpenter, of Mt. Sterling, age 66, passed away August 19, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born January 28, 1958, in Mt. Sterling, to the union of Rochella Sue Centers and the late Noah Ernest Centers, Jr. Brenda is a born again believer and of the Pentecostal Faith.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kendall Carpenter; her 3 children, Tim France (Crystal), Shane Carpenter (Gwyn) and Chastity Carpenter, all of Mt. Sterling; her mother, Rochella Sue Centers; her precious grandchildren, Isaac Carpenter, Maddy France, Kaylee France, Spencer France, Lawson France, Anyia Carpenter, Gabe Carpenter and a niece she called her granddaughter, Chyann Sargent; 2 sisters, Cathy Mills and Diane Sargent; 2 brothers, Mark Centers and Doug Centers, all of Mt. Sterling; and a very special Aunt Shirley Spence, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Noah Ernest Centers, Jr.

Brenda was known for her heart of gold. She enjoyed buying gifts for others and it didn't even have to be a special occasion. Her faith was very strong and she would often share great words of inspiration on her Facebook page.

She was a great wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. Brenda will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 22, at 1:00 pm at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with Kevin Miles officiating. Friends and family are welcome to come from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for the visitation. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery.
