Brenda Kay Montgomery, 65, a retired factory worker at Sherwin-Williams and resident of Waco, KY for many years. She lost her fight with cancer on May 3, 2022 at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. Brenda was born in Mount Sterling, KY on July 12, 1956 to Addie May Burns. She attended Montgomery County High School Class of 1974. She married the love of her life and had three precious dogs. She and her husband worked hard on their property to get the life they wanted. She was a member of Polksville Church of God in Salt Lick, KY.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Montgomery, mother, Addie May Burns, twin brother, Jerry Ray Burns, brother, Douglas Browning, sister, Janice Norris, and sister, Jo Ann Jones. She is survived by sister, Vicky Brown, sister, Lela Faye Crowe, sister, Nancy Watkins, brother, Rick Burns, brother, Larry Browning, brother, Donnie Browning, with many nieces and nephews. Brenda enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake. She was very passionate about her animals and coffee. Flowers in her garden made her so happy. She loved spending time with her family and doing yardwork. She had a special love for children. Brenda had a special love for Destiny Hawkins and Braxton Centers.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022 from 11-2:00 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals in Mount Sterling, KY. Funeral will be directly after visitation at 2:00 p.m., Brother Ralph White and Brother Larry Morrison officiating the service. Burial will be at Polksville Cemetery in Salt Lick, KY. In lieu of flowers please donate to Richmond Compassionate Care Plus in Richmond, KY. Pallbearers will be Jesse Hawkins, Doug Browing, Dwayne Browning, Eric Jones, Damion Jones and Daniel Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Centers.
