CAROL ANN (LEBER) WIGGINS

Carol Ann Leber Wiggins, age 67, passed away peacefully in Taylorsville, KY., at her sister Kathy’s house on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, after a three year long battle with cancer. Carol fought hard and with more courage and ferocity than most.  She was surrounded by her two sons, her niece and her sister at her time of death. Carol was born in Danville, KY. to the union of the late Harlan & Justyne Carter Leber.  Carol loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for them.  And everyone who knew her, knew how much she loved all animals.

Carol was a veracious, kind, funny, charismatic woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  If any lesson is to be learned from Carol, it is to laugh as hard and as loud as she did every chance she got, up until the very end of her life.

She is survived by 2 sons-Walter (Sarah) Wiggins of Mt Sterling, James (Kristy) Wiggins of Mt Sterling; 1 sister-Kathy (Mike) Martin of Taylorsville, KY; 2 brothers-Harlan (Patricia) Leber of Anchorage, Alaska, James (Mary Jo) Leber of Carrolton, VA.; 1 grand-daughter-Arya; 1 grand-son Marcos along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation for Carol’s caregivers: Suzanna & Mike Simpson, Diana Perry Coffey and Scott & Michelle Douglas and all her friends who were her constant companions and did their best to make her last years memorable and comfortable. Your loving care and attention to Carol means so much.

A memorial service will be Friday, November 22 at 5:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel.  Family and Friends can visit from 3:00 p.m. till time of service.  Officiating will be Michael Simpson and Scott Douglas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Humane Society of Kentucky be made in remembrance of Carol.
