CLARK WADE Obituary

Clark Dale Wade, age 78, of Sharpsburg, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. He was born in Newport, KY, on December 20, 1946, to the late David and Dorothy Dale Wade. Clark proudly served his country in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam era and was self-employed in the HVAC business for over 50 years.  Clark was known for his kind heart, sharp sense of humor, and love for the people around him. He was a jokester through and through, always making others laugh—even with a bit of stubbornness mixed in. He had a real passion for science fiction, history, and digging into family genealogy. Clark loved figuring out how things worked—whether it was a machine, a car, or some gadget—and there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed sharing what he knew and loved teaching others how things worked. Clark never met a stranger. He could talk to anyone and often did—sometimes for hours—telling stories with a memory as sharp as ever. Even up to his last day, he had the nurses and doctors laughing, and they hugged him like an old friend. His warmth, curiosity, and humor left a lasting impression on all who met him. He will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

Clark is survived by three daughters: Dana Wade Neal of Paris, KY; Stacy Wade (Tim) Lyons of Owingsville, KY; and Ashley Wade (Josh) Ziegler of Centerville, OH. He is also survived by one son, Clark John David “C.J.” Wade of Jeffersonville, KY; three grandsons: Brandon (Marcie) Neal of Millersburg, KY; Justin (Celina) Neal of Paris, KY; and Evan Lyons of Owingsville, KY; three great-grandsons: Corbin Lee Neal, Zayden Lane Neal, and Cason Cole Neal; and a special friend of 10 years, MaryAnn Hall of Sharpsburg, KY.

In addition to his parents, Clark was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Peyton Leigh Neal; three brothers, David Clinton Neal, Gordon Wade, and Gregory Wade; and two sisters, Bonnie Anderson and Juanita Little.
