Callie M. Martin passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at her residence in Jeffersonville, KY. She was a 91 year old born in Montgomery County to the union of the late Everett and Nora Neal Martin, a retired employee of Cowden's Manufacturing and member of Morris Creek First Church of God.
She is survived by 5 children; Gerald Martin (Elsie), Connie Campbell (David), Joyce Strange (Gerald), Steve Martin (Karen) and Rick Martin, 10 grandchildren; Michael Martin, David Prater, Joe Prater, Cheryl Dyer, Jeffery Strange, Randall Campbell, Erica Snowden, Whitley Sowell, Jonathan Martin and Anthony Martin, several great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Wanda Myers and Pauline George (George), a special niece, Janet Mullins and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Callie was preceded in death by 2 sons; Phillip Wayne Martin and Donald Ray Martin, a great grandson, David "Bruiser" Prater, a daughter-in-law, Vickie Martin, 4 brothers; Elmer Martin, Kenneth Martin, Melvin Martin and Hubert Martin, and 2 sisters, Dorothy Conkright and Eunice Salchi.
Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor David Campbell presiding with burial to follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Michael Martin, Jeffery Strange, Randall Campbell, Jonathan Martin, Anthony Martin and Brandon Snowden. Honorary Pallbearers are Erica Snowden, Whitley Sowell and Cheryl Dyer.
