Catherine Frances (Carpenter) Wilson

Catherine Carpenter Wilson went home to be with her Lord on December 2, 2023 at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was born on March 17, 1929 in Bath County, KY to the late Elmer and Ida Blanche Wade Carpenter. Catherine was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling.

She was married to the love of her life, Charlie Wilson Jr. for 74 years. They had one daughter, Barbara Joyce, that they loved dearly. In years past, she was a Sunday School teacher at Spring Street Baptist Church and worked alongside her husband to help build Reid Village Baptist Church. She also taught there for many years. She was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wilson Jr., her daughter, Barbara Wilson, two sisters, Margaret Walters Graham and Louise Lawson, a niece, Teresa Compston and a nephew, Daryl Walters.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Eddie Ingram presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Ricky Cook, Mike Wilson, Raymond Cook, Todd Compston, Dave Evans and Stanley Anderson.
