Charles Wilson Jr.

Charles Wilson Jr., 90, of Mt. Sterling, KY died July 4th, 2021 at the Windsor Care Center after a short illness.  Charley was a life long resident of Montgomery County and a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Sterling.  He was a loving father and devoted husband of 74 years.  He is survived by his wife, Catherine Carpenter Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Eddie Jane Wells Wilson, a daughter, Barbara Joyce Wilson, 2 brothers, Journey Wilson and E.Q. Wilson, and 6 sisters, Lillie Toy, Margaret Wells, Virginia Jewell, Frances Jewell, Daisy Cook and Lena Ingram.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Thursday, July 8th at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, with Pastor Chris Wells officiating with burial following in Machpelah Cemetery.  Friends may visit 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Dave Evans, Tim Martin, Eddie Ingram, Mike Wilson, Terry Wilson and Raymond Cook.  Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
