Christopher "CJ" Shawn Lawson Jr. passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a 28 year old born in Montgomery County to Christopher Shawn Lawson Sr. and Tina Michelle Brooks.

He is survived by his father, Chris Lawson Sr. (Kelly Arvin) of Mt. Sterling; his mother, Tina Brooks of Dayton, OH; his paternal grandmother, Brenda Sue Lawson of Mt. Sterling; his maternal grandfather, David Schaefer of New Paris, OH; 3 sisters, Alyssia Brooks of Dayton, OH, Melinda Noel of Lexington, KY and Emily lawson of Stanton, KY; 2 uncles, Junior Brooks of Mt. Sterling and Rob Lawson (Taylina) of Mt. Sterling; along with 3 aunts, Karen Brooks of Dayton, OH, Valerie Combs (Robert Wells) of Mt. Sterling and Jennifer Lawson (Mike Lowe) of Mt. Sterling.

His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals. Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ian Kelley, Mayson McGuire, BJ Shelley, Warren Prater, Bradley Combs, Joey Vazquez and Nathan Harris.
